Meet Your Doula

Welcome! I’m so glad you’re here.

Hej! I’m Stephanie. I’m a doula based in Copenhagen, supporting families through pregnancy and postpartum. I’ve been living in Denmark since 2016, where my husband and I are raising our two Danish-American children. My path to doula work began after the birth of my first daughter, and I dove deeper into postpartum education during my second pregnancy. Their births were gateways into two very different postpartum seasons. The first was shaped by uncertainty and overwhelm, the other by softness, intention, and support. These experiences transformed how I see early parenthood and how I show up to care for others.

Before becoming a mother and doula, I spent years supporting families as a nanny in both Boston and Copenhagen. I’ve always been drawn to caring for mothers in quiet, intuitive ways - offering rest, holding space, and noticing what’s needed. These experiences taught me to listen, adapt, and respect each family’s unique rhythm.

Alongside my hands-on experience, I hold a degree in Sociology and a graduate degree in Global Development, where my focus was on women’s rights and social policy. My academic work deepened my commitment to care, highlighting both the strength of birthing people and the systemic gaps that so often leave them unsupported. With this perspective and awareness at heart, I focus on offering meaningful care to families in those first, important days.

In 2021, I trained as a Full Spectrum Doula with Doula Trainings International. I was drawn to their approach, which centers cultural awareness, reproductive justice, and a deep respect for the complexity of birth work. Since then, I’ve continued to grow my practice through workshops, mentorship, and connecting with the birth and parenting community here in Denmark.

In 2023, I completed Postpartum Facilitator Training, which expanded my understanding of the parental brain, the identity shift of matrescence, and the cultural narratives of motherhood. I truly believe that learning about the physiological, emotional, and social shifts that happen postpartum can be a powerful source of empowerment for new parents. It’s one of the most profound transitions a person can face, and compassionate support during this time helps parents heal, grow, and step confidently into their new role.

My hope is that you feel rested, centered, and deeply connected to yourself during this time.

You deserve to feel held as you find your way.
